Before You Rent

You must be at least 18 years old to rent and drive/ride our vehicles in bike rental Bali. You should be reasonably competent and physically fit to operate a car/motorbike safely. If you are renting a car/motorbike with manual transmission, you must be competent in driving/riding it. You must adhere to safety driving/riding standards at all times, and are advised to adjust your driving/riding behavior and braking distance to suit the weather, surrounding environment, and traffic conditions bike rental Bali. Riders/drivers assume all responsibilities and risks for any medical conditions or injuries, including death, resulting from road accidents.

You must provide proof of valid international driving license in the appropriate category to ride our scooter or drive our car (digital photo or photocopy). Riders/drivers assume all responsibilities and risks when dealing with law enforcement in the case of improper driving licence.

All our fleets are in good condition. They are either new or drive/ride like new. As a part of our worry-free protection and to ensure your safety and comfort, our in-house mechanics conduct a six-point safety inspections after each vehicle is returned to us, and again before delivering the vehicle to a new renter. These points include:
  • Physical condition
  • Engine and oils
  • Tires (tread wear and pressure)
  • Balance and stability
  • Break systems and timing belt
Safety features and lights (low beam, high beam, brake light, turn signals)

Our worry-free protection insures our vehicles against damages, accidents, or theft. It protects the vehicles as the company’s assets. It does not cover medical conditions and personal injuries, including death, sustained by the renters/riders and any third parties involved. It does not cover damages to any third party caused by the actions of the rider/driver. It does not cover damages caused by the renters’/riders’ personal negligence (e.g., loss of documents, keys, or helmets).
For motorcycle rental, our in-house worry-free protection also protects you from liability in the case of stolen vehicle, on the condition that you are able to provide the key/remote and vehicle registration document within 24 hours, and make the police report.
You get two standard helmets when renting a motorcycle from us, free of charge. Helmets come in various sizes and colors, please contact our WhatsApp (+628123965111) or Telegram @Ketutbagong to request a certain size/color of helmet prior to delivery to ensure the best fit (subject to availability).

Our hotline (WhatsApp +628123965111 or Telegram @Ketutbagong) is active between 08.00 to 21.00 (Bali time). Delivery, pick-up, roadside assistance, and regular maintenance operations are done between 08.00 to 18.00. Any delivery, pick-up, maintenance, and roadside assistance after 18.00 is subject to additional surcharge.
Yes. We can deliver the vehicle to your location. Just let us know in advance. One-time delivery and pick-up service during regular operational hours (08.00 – 18.00) is available free of charge within our regular coverage areas (Canggu, Tanah Lot, Seminyak, Kuta, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Denpasar, Sanur, and Ubud) or within 25 km of our shop. Delivery and pick-up service after regular operational hours (08.00 to 18.00) and beyond our regular coverage areas are subject to additional surcharge.

Payment is due at the time of rental, i.e., when we deliver the vehicle and you sign the rental contract. You can pay via bank transfer or cash.
We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rent periods. But the minimum rental period is one week. You will be charged the one-week rate if renting for periods shorter than 7 days.
If you cancel within the first 7 days, you will be charged the minimum rental period (one-week). For weekly rental beyond the first week, the cancellation fee is 50% of the weekly rental if you cancel within the first 3 (days) of the ongoing week. For cancellation after the first 3 days of the ongoing week, you will be charged the full week’s rental. For monthly rental, if you cancel within the first 14 days of the ongoing month, you will be charged the for two week’s rent (weekly rental rates apply). If you cancel after 14 days of the ongoing month, you will be charged the full month’s rent.
No. You are not permitted to take the car/scooter out of the Bali, including to Nusa Penida or Lembongan. The vehicle is for use in the main island of Bali only.
No, you can’t. The vehicle is exclusively the company’s property. You must not modify, write on, dismantle, or deface a vehicle, or any of its part. You must not modify, write on, peel, or deface any sticker on a vehicle in any way.  You must not use a vehicle for any advertising or other commercial purpose without the express permission from us.

When Operating Your Rented Vehicle

We offer home and roadside assistance for vehicle maintenance, provided that the problem with the vehicle/equipment is not due to fault/negligence of the renter/rider, and it is within our regular operational hours (08.00 – 18.00). Home and roadside assistance beyond our regular operational hours is subject to additional surcharge. If problem arose due to your fault/negligence (e.g., leaving the ignition on while the vehicle is in parked position and as such draining the battery), we can still assist you (subject to additional surcharge). First, make sure that your center/double kickstand is in up position. Make sure that the battery is not drained. If the indicators on the dashboard turn on, press both breaks and then press the engine start button. If you have a motorbike with a manual choke, put the double kickstand (center stand) on. After making sure that the engine is on neutral, crank it with your foot. If your motorbike doesn’t have a manual start/choke (e.g., latest scooter model), you cannot do that. If your engine won’t start due to maintenance issues, we will provide roadside assistance free of charge (within our regular operational hours and regular coverage areas). Additional surcharge applies for engine start failure due to the fault/negligence of renter/rider (e.g., leaving the ignition on while the vehicle is in parked position and as such draining the battery).
Yes. All riders and passengers must wear helmets at all times while riding a motorcycle. It is unsafe and against the law to ride a motorcycle without proper helmets. It is also unsafe and against the law to ride with more than three people in one motorcycle. Riders/drivers assume all responsibilities and risks for any medical conditions or injuries, including death, resulting from unsafe riding behavior.
Unsafe driving/riding behaviors include, but are not limited to:
  • Driving a car without putting on a seatbelt.
  • Placing a child at the front passenger seat of a car.
  • Riding a motorcycle without a proper helmet.
  • Riding a motorcycle with more than two persons.
  • Driving/riding under the influence of alcohol/substances.
  • Using a mobile phone/device while driving/riding.
  • Driving/riding recklessly.
  • Not adhering to speed limits.
  • Engaging in dangerous overtaking.
Riders/drivers assume all responsibilities and risks for any medical conditions or injuries, including death, resulting from unsafe riding behavior.
We recommend that you use 92 octane fuel. It is sold under the brand “Pertamax” at the fuel stations. We recommend that you get your fuel from the official fuel stations (Pertamina).
You are responsible for loss of vehicle key/remote, helmets, and vehicle registration document. Renters assume replacement costs for loss of articles:
  • Loss of manual key or helmet: IDR 250.000 / US$ 20
  • Loss of remote key: IDR 1.500.000 / US$ 125
  • Loss of registration document IDR 1.000.000 / US$ 80
In the case of theft/stolen vehicle, don’t panic. Contact our WhatsApp (+628123965111) or Telegram @Ketutbagong for assistance. You must also contact the local authorities to file a police report. Our worry-free protection insures our vehicles to theft, provided that you are able to provide the key/remote and vehicle registration document within 24 hours, and make the police report.
If you are wearing proper helmets and have all the documents with you, don’t panic. Show them your driving licence and the vehicle document registration included with your rental. Roadside assistance beyond our regular operational hours (08.00 to 18.00) and beyond our regular coverage areas are subject to additional surcharge.

Our regular coverage areas include Canggu, Tanah Lot, Seminyak, Kuta, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Denpasar, Sanur, and Ubud, or within 30 km of our shop. No. The rental only covers the main island of Bali. You are not permitted to take the vehicle outside of Bali (including Nusa Penida, Lembongan, Lombok, Java, and other islands).
If, for instance, you are leaving Bali while your rental period is still underway and you want to transfer the remaining period to a friend, we can assist you with that.
